Kerry is based near Betws-y-Coed in Snowdonia and has been involved in body work for over 10 years. With many hundreds of sessions of experience in the sustained acupressure technique called pointholding or Body Electronics, this has given Kerry the opportunity to learn about naturopathic techniques, good nutrition and mental/emotional facilitation in order to free up the body’s restrictions and resistances.
With a degree in Neuroscience, many years work in medical literature, qualifications in counseling skills and 20 years practicing Tai chi behind her, Kerry has qualified in advanced clinical massage therapy with the Jing school of advanced clinical massage. This is a massage style which brings the power of the whole body into the hands and arms using stances, body mechanics and breathwork more commonly seen in Tai chi and martial arts. Techniques used include Amma, shiatsu, acupressure, sustained acupressure, deep tissue massage, remedial massage, myofascial release, trigger point therapy, sports massage, soft tissue release and stretching.
Kerry has an intimate knowledge of the causes and effects of pain on the physical, psychological and emotional levels, and whether it’s an injury, a chronic problem or the physical effects of deep seated emotional issues, Kerry puts the wealth of her background into her hands to help bring about relief and increased freedom in her clients.
